Like the finned pack heat exchanger, the finned tube coil also allows the transfer of heat between the fluid passing through the tubes such as water, glycol water, superheated water, steam, refrigerant gases, oils, air, fumes and the gas it passes out of them such as air, fumes and process gases.
The finned tubes are bent into a U forming a series of circuits designed according to the flow rate of the circulating fluid. The peculiarity of this technology, in order to increase the surface and improve the heat exchange conditions, provides that each pipe is equipped with a straight helicoid that can slide, thus absorbing the thermal expansions without deformation on the structure and stresses on the welds.
Furthermore, the constructive configuration of the finned tube coil is completed by the manifolds and the frame which often have specific characteristics compatible with the harsh operating conditions to which they are subjected.
Carbon steel and stainless steel for pipes; copper, carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloy for the fins are the materials dedicated to the construction of these solid heat exchangers chosen and selected according to the multiple applications for which they are expertly designed.
Finally, a rich mix of combinations of geometries, dimensions, thicknesses of tubes and fins allows the technical office to optimize the thermodynamic sizing and heat exchange solutions that our partners have learned to appreciate over many years of collaboration.
